The season of pumpkin spiced lattes, chunky knits and fireworks is upon us and presents the perfect time to turn a new leaf when it comes to your hair.
Whilst there isn't a hairdresser in the world who will tell you that this October is anything close to ordinary; from tighter social restrictions to continued WFH routines, the changing of the seasons can also take its toll on your post-summer tresses in ways you can set your watch to, the most common of which include damage brought on by heat, exposure to chlorine and salt water, as well as sun exposure, resulting in hair that is dry, brittle and prone to breakage.
With this in mind, it is important for us all to prioritise small moments of pleasure. That's because during this time of general uncertainty and anxiety, small acts of self-care — like getting a (safe) salon haircut, colour or fresh manicure foryour daily zoom calls— have the ability to affect an internal shift in your mood and confidence and spark a significant amount of much needed joy as we prepare for the colder, darker months.
